THERAPY WITH CHRISTELLE
You may be carrying what is
not only yours.
Some people arrive here already knowing what they're carrying. Others arrive simply curious, drawn to their own depths without a crisis demanding it, wanting to understand themselves more fully. Wherever you find yourself, you are welcome here.
HOW I WORK —————————
My approach draws on depth psychology and Jungian analysis, psychodynamic and family systems thinking, somatic awareness, and creative and imaginal methods—all in service of trauma-honoring, clinically grounded care.
In practice, this looks like:
We move at the pace your psyche sets. Not everything needs to be resolved the moment it surfaces.
A symptom is a visitor, not a verdict. We can have a relationship with symptoms that allows them to speak on their own terms.
Defenses are intelligent, not broken. Perfectionism, appeasement, hypervigilance—these were survival strategies. They deserve respect, not correction.
Understanding happens between us, not to you. This is a live, human encounter, and what emerges between us has its own unique thing to say.
Dreams and images are trusted, not just interpreted. The psyche’s images carry their own intelligence; they aren’t fabricated to make us feel better or worse.
What was exiled isn’t only pain or shame. Sometimes it’s joy. Reclaiming vitality and aliveness matters as much as processing what hurt.

QUESTIONS —————————
-
Both! I find in-person allows for so many more layers of communication, and meeting virtually provides access and convenience in often already stressed calendars. If you are local to Boulder, and your circumstances allow for in-person, let’s start there.
-
The first time we meet is called an intake session, and this is a chance for us to get to know each other. For individuals this is 90 minutes, charged at the standard session rate.
After the intake, sessions for individuals are typically 50 to 60 minutes, and sometimes up to 90 minutes, with prior agreement. -
Diagnosis can be clarifying, even relieving, for some. What I'm cautious about is a label standing in for someone's whole story, or foreclosing curiosity about what one is actually carrying. Diagnosis and depth work aren't opposites, both can be held.
-
Definitely not! I approach a client's religious and moral framework with respect and curiosity, not assumption or critique. This work isn't about convincing you to leave a faith, or to stay in one; it's about understanding what happened to you inside a system, so you can find your own honest relationship to what you believe.
-
Many clients tell me it feels different to be met without judgment for having needs, anger, or complexity. My hope is that this relationship becomes somewhere you're not banished or punished for showing up fully, something felt, not just described.
A CLOSING NOTE —————————
Healing does not occur through further sacrifice of the same kind, nor through moral perfection. It emerges through integrating what was cast out. What must be relinquished is not the self, but the old pattern of suffering.
