ABOUT —————

Hi there, I’m Christelle.

In midlife I did an about-turn and went back to university to deepen the training I started in my 20s. Everyone who knew me breathed a sigh of relief (yay!), echoing the sense I had that I’d finally found my vocational “home.”

Now, I am a therapist, and it is an honor to walk alongside my clients. My approach draws on depth psychology and Jungian therapy, psychodynamic and family systems thinking, somatic awareness, and creative and imaginal methods—all in service of trauma-honoring, clinically grounded care.

A pencil sketch of a small traveller with a walking stick and a lavender scarf, following a winding trail past a fence, a signboard, a tree with a shy artist behind it, a trail signpost, a small house with a lit window, a cairn of stones and a campfire with friends, ending at a view of hills and a rising sun.

HOW I CAME TO THIS

WHERE IT STARTED

I grew up in South Africa, where race and Calvinist theology were the soup many swam in. Us and them. Binaries of division

TWO DECADES OF STORIES

Nearly two decades in strategic communications, helping organizations see who they were beneath their own narratives.

SHY ARTIST, LONG MILES

I am a shy artist. I’ve run a bunch of ultramarathons.

THE CRISIS CENTER

At a domestic violence crisis center I sat with the immediate reality of coercive control. It grounds my understanding of relational violence in more than theory.

THE RESEARCH

What does it mean to carry a family’s, a culture’s, a faith’s rejected contents without collapsing under the weight? And what becomes possible when you finally meet what was disowned?

PEOPLE

I love people, and I’m curious about what makes each one unique.

I am undone by beauty.
